Peace, Love, and Puppy Dogs

I'm not really a dog person (I know, I know, I'm a horrible human and I lost like ten readers for saying that), but after yesterday I might have to change that claim. The amount and cuteness of the four legged companions at #hippiefest2018 in Lake City yesterday was absolutely phenomenal. They were dressed as hippies - from dyed hair to tie dye shirts to bandanas to painted nails (I swear, I have pictures) - and the level of adorableness was unfathomable.

People didn't seem to have a problem posing for me, but their dogs seemed to love it even more. The pooches were easily one of the best parts of Hippiefest, so much so that I felt they deserved their own post. I am gracing you with my phone camera's pictures of the flower dogs, you're welcome.

This baby is only 2 months old and easily the cutest thing ever. You can tell in my later pictures, but her ice blue eyes were so intense. She was a little scared of everyone, which is to be expected, but other than that she was completely calm. The owners said they had her off leash the night before and she wouldn't wander more than 25 feet. Where do I get one? (Also, I want mine to stay this size forever).

Please note the blue toenails. Her owner said it took four hours (which I do not have patience for, but more power to ya). She had a mauled ear, which I would expect to make her quite skiddish, but she was completely calm, even if you touched her head. Her energy was through the roof, but that's puppies for ya.

This lovely lady's pooch did not care for me. He would sit and pose but absolutely would not look at the camera. Notice his coloring though. A 'tiger dog' as I decided to dub him.

I know I didn't get many, but I was trying to photograph the entire festival. I'm going to drop my extras below with no commentary. Enjoy!
